NexBlue EV charger

NexBlue’s full range of smart EV chargers meets the EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED) cybersecurity requirements, as defined in EN 18031.

The assessment has been thoroughly validated and certified by TÜV Rheinland — a globally trusted leader in testing, inspection, and certification. The certification confirms that every NexBlue charger — including earlier models and the latest generation launched in September — complies with the new cybersecurity standard for wireless and connected devices across the EU.

The RED requirements become mandatory on 1 August 2025 for all radio-equipped products such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular-connected devices. NexBlue’s chargers already meet these standards, ensuring that our products remain safe, reliable and compliant across Europe.

Compliance with EN 18031 confirms that NexBlue chargers are designed to protect against unauthorised access, ensure data integrity and support secure updates. It reflects our ongoing commitment to deliver safe and future-ready charging solutions for homes, businesses and public networks.

For customers and partners, this certification provides assurance that NexBlue products are independently verified to meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.
