How to connect to your tariff (EcoPilot)
Table of Contents
Most energy suppliers offer attractively priced tariffs to give EV drivers periods of cheaper energy overnight. These tariffs usually start around midnight and end in the early hours. To allow customers to easily integrate their charge point with the tariff, we have built EcoPilot into our App. All you need to do is turn on the feature and input your tariff details, along with how long you need to charge, and when you will need the vehicle charged by, and EcoPilot will ensure you top up for the cheapest possible price.
Where to find EcoPilot mode and configuration
To turn on EcoPilot mode, navigate to the charge point you want to connect to your tariff in the app, then tap "EcoPilot" at the bottom. Once in the menu screen, toggle the setting at the top of the screen to view the settings.
Connecting Tariff Method 1 - Connecting Account
The first, and easiest method, to connect your tariff timings to the app is to log into your account. Tap "connect" then follow the instructions through depending on your energy supplier. When asked for contract end date, select the renewal date for your contract, or if you plan to continue with your contract for the forseeable future, tap "skip/until terminated".
Connecting Tariff Method 2 - Selecting tariff
If you would prefer to not log in with your credentials, you can instead select your tariff from the list associated with each energy provider. Simply scroll through the list and select the one that exactly matches yours, then select the expiry date (if applicable) and next.
Connecting Tariff Method 3 - Configuring manually
The last method that can be used to set the timings is by manually inputting them. This will take longer than the other two methods, however if you are on a new tariff that hasn't yet been uploaded onto our system then it may be required, follow the steps below to do so.
Viewing your tariff
Once you have connected your tariff and configured EcoPilot, you will be good to go! To look at the timings and costs of your tariff, tap "check" in the EcoPilot. From the "Your tariff" screen you will be able to see the price for electricity at your property at different times throughout the day, including the previous, current, or following day. From here you can also disconnect your tariff if you change, or edit the tariff information.
