How to add a charge point/load balancer to your Location
Table of Contents
Most products will be added to a Location by the Installer at time of installing, however there may be some occasions in which this needs to be done by the end customer. The following guide details how to do this for both a charge point, and load balancer, and what to consider for both.
Step 1 - Selecting product type
You can either add a charge point or a load balancer to an existing location. The installer will have set the Main Fuse size for the Location when they created it initially, so any values related to this will be carried forward, however you may need to add additional information based on the product type you are adding. Follow the steps below to add each of the product types.
Step 2 (NexBlue Zen) - Configuration
For the load balancer, you will be asked to connect the device to either a Wi-Fi or ethernet port, of Wi-Fi you will then need to fill in the credentials for the selected network. Next select whether the load balancer is measing a single phase or three, then the type of clamps used (it should say on them), and finally whether you are fitting solar too. Ensure the correct cables are plugged into the right socket on the bottom of the load balancer and tap continue on the last screen. You should then be able to see your load balancer in the myNexBlue App.
Step 2 (NexBlue Point/Edge) - Configuration
It's a bit simpler to add a charge point to an existing site. Either add the charge point to an existing circuit which already has a fuse size and default charging speed set, or create a new circuit for the charge point.
