This is a guide on how to use Allstar Homecharge with the NexBlue charger. The onboarding and configuration process involves both the Allstar Homecharge platform and your registered NexBlue charger.

Before you start:

Step 1: Receive your welcome email

Once you’re ready to onboard, you will receive a welcome email from homecharge.support@allstarcard.co.uk inviting you to register for Allstar Homecharge and create your account.

Step 2: Create your account and accept terms

  1. Click the link in the email to access the Allstar Homecharge portal.
  2. Read and accept the driver terms and conditions:
    • These include consent to access charging data from your charge point and to make payments to your energy supplier.

Step 3: Enter required information

During onboarding, you will be prompted to provide the following information:

  • Home address – Homecharge is only available for domestic energy users.
  • Charge point details:
    • Select "NexBlue" as the manufacturer.
    • Select the model of your charger. For NexBlue, select "Any".
    • Enter your charger’s serial number.
  • Upload your latest energy statement:
    • Accepted formats: PDF, PNG, JPG.
    • Ensure the statement includes account number, tariff name, unit rate, payment method, and start date.
  • Mobile number – Used for payment notification via SMS.
  • Vehicle details – Include make, model, and registration number.

Step 4: Charging and Payments

  • After setup, charging sessions will be tracked via your NexBlue charger.
  • Costs will be calculated based on your configured tariff.
  • Credits are paid directly to your energy supplier.
  • You will receive confirmation via SMS and can view transaction details in the Allstar Homecharge portal.

FAQs

  • What happens if I move house?
    You can update your address directly in the Allstar Homecharge portal. Make sure your charger is connected to the internet at your new address.
  • Do I need a smart meter?
    No, Allstar Homecharge does not require a smart meter.
  • Can I use Homecharge with any energy supplier?
    Yes, as long as your energy bill includes all required details, you can use any domestic energy supplier.
  • When and how will I get paid?
    Payments are made directly to your energy supplier after each eligible charging session. You will receive SMS confirmation.
  • Where can I see my charging and payment history?
    You can view all session and payment history in the Allstar Homecharge portal.
