Built to Work Together: Tools That Fit the Installer Journey

A smooth EV charging experience doesn’t begin at the charger. It begins with the tools installers and operators use to design, deploy, and manage a site. That’s why NexBlue has designed the Partner App and Partner Portal as two tightly connected parts of the same system, with Pre-Configuration as a powerful supporting capability that saves time and resources.

These tools are designed to flow naturally together, mirroring how real installations happen; from planning and setup, to commissioning, diagnostics, and long-term management.

The NexBlue Partner App: Installation Without Friction

The NexBlue Partner App is the installer’s primary on-site tool. It’s built to remove friction from installation, while still offering the depth needed for technically advanced sites.

Installers create a single account and can then create locations, build sites, and configure chargers directly from their phone or tablet. From straightforward domestic installs to complex commercial environments, the app supports advanced functionality without overwhelming the user.

Partners can:

  • Create and manage multiple locations

  • Build complete sites from the ground up

  • Configure advanced features such as multi-layer load balancing

  • View and manage all installed sites in one place

  • Share access with customers once installation is complete

The key design principle is balance. The app is simple enough to follow logically on site, yet powerful enough to support sophisticated electrical and energy management requirements. That means fewer mistakes, faster commissioning, and a more consistent experience for both installer and end customer.

The NexBlue Partner Portal: Control, Insight, and Scale

The Partner Portal extends everything the app offers, but on desktop, with additional tools designed for deeper insight, diagnostics, and large-scale management.

Partners log in with the same account and instantly gain access to the same locations and devices. There’s no duplication and no fragmentation; just a broader, more detailed view of the same ecosystem.

The portal is where partners go when they need to:

  • Investigate charger diagnostics and detailed event history

  • Download consumption and charging reports

  • Perform in-depth analysis across sites

  • Manage and visualise complex, multi-layer load balancing more clearly

  • Troubleshoot and optimise installations remotely

For larger or more technically complex sites, the increased screen space and detailed visualisation make a real difference. What might be possible on mobile becomes far more intuitive on desktop.

Organisations: Built for Larger Installer Networks

One feature we offer in the Partner Portal is the ability to create and grow your organisation.

Rather than managing access location by location, partners can create an organisation within the system. Installers added to that organisation automatically become part of a shared network. Any sites they install or manage are then visible centrally, without the need to manually share each individual location.

This is especially valuable for larger companies with distributed workforces:

  • Head office teams can log in and see every charger installed by their engineers

  • Visibility is no longer restricted by individual user accounts

  • Sites are shared by default within the organisation, not manually one by one

  • Management, reporting, and oversight become significantly simpler

It allows businesses to scale without losing control, ensuring consistency and transparency across all installations, regardless of who carried out the work.

Pre-Configuration: A Powerful Time-Saving Tool

Pre-Configuration sits within the Partner Portal as a highly effective supporting tool.

Instead of configuring chargers on site, partners can fully design and prepare a site in advance. As long as the serial number, PIN code, and configuration details are known, everything can be set up remotely from the office.

When the charger is later powered on:

  • It connects automatically to the NexBlue cloud

  • Retrieves its configuration

  • Adds itself to the correct location without manual setup

This dramatically reduces time on site and removes pressure from installers during commissioning. It also means that complex configuration work can be handled by office-based staff following guided processes, rather than relying solely on highly trained engineers in the field.

For large rollouts, this improves efficiency, consistency, and cost control, which is why it has become such a popular feature among NexBlue partners.

One System, Designed for the Real World

The Partner App and Partner Portal are designed to work hand in hand, supporting installers from first setup through to long-term site management. Pre-Configuration enhances that workflow by shifting complexity away from the site and into a controlled, repeatable environment.

Together, they form a single, coherent ecosystem; one that scales from individual installers to national organisations, without adding unnecessary complexity.

Simple where it needs to be. Powerful where it matters. Built for the way EV charging is installed and managed in the real world.
